Bleeding Stopping Effect-Hemostatic Agent
These particles, derived from shrimp shells, cross-link with red blood cells to form a strong clot completely independent of the body's natural clotting mechanism. This means that even with the use of the anticoagulant (blood diluent) heparin, mild or severe arterial/venous haemorrhages can be rapidly clotted. In addition to its cross-linking with red blood cells, it has a blood thickening effect. It retains and absorbs water molecules, which are the main component of blood. Since it forms its own clot, it is not affected by the possibility of the body temperature reaching extreme values upwards or downwards.
